As we pass the summer solstice, we've been looking back on a full spring at BENOM. In the vineyard, we finished shoot thinning and are now watching the vines settle into the growing season as we prepare for our first small estate harvest. We bottled new wines, welcomed many of you for our Spring Release, and reached meaningful milestones as plans for our future estate tasting room continue to take shape.
Looking ahead, we're preparing for our Fall Release Party, where we'll debut the 2024 vintage. Our annual Winemaker Dinner follows soon after, featuring a curated selection of library wines. We hope you'll join us for both occasions.
Thank you for being part of the journey. Whether you've stopped by the tasting room, opened a bottle around the dinner table, joined us for an event, or simply kept up with what we're building, we're grateful for your support. We hope to welcome you back for a visit this summer.
Shoot Thinning the estate
This spring marked an exciting milestone as we completed shoot thinning across the BENOM Estate Vineyard for the first time.
We've spent years farming and learning from vineyards across Paso Robles, and this season we had the opportunity to apply those lessons to our own estate. While shoot thinning always requires careful observation, a young vineyard asks for something even more important: patience.

EState News: The Future BENOM Tasting Room
After years of planning, dreaming, and refining our vision, we're excited to share that we have submitted our use permit application for the future BENOM estate tasting room. While there is a long road ahead, this marks an important step. We hope to begin construction in 2028 and create a space centered around intimate tastings, a meaningful connection to the vineyard, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a visit home.
With a thoughtful design that minimizes visual impact on the landscape, the estate tasting room will offer a deeply personal way to experience BENOM, surrounded by the vines and the place that inspires our wines. We look forward to sharing more as the journey continues.
Winery News: Bottling the 2024 Vintage
From the beginning, the wines have shown a remarkable sense of balance. While 2023 was defined by energy and vibrancy, 2024 offers a different expression. The wines feel poised, refined, and beautifully elegant, with a precision that has impressed us from the start.
Starting in mid-July, we'll be pouring a preview of select 2024 wines on our tasting flight, giving you an early look at the vintage before the full release this fall. If you're planning a visit to Paso, we'd love to share them with you.
