Bottles of Benom wines grouped

THE COLLECTION

The Fabre brothers set out to create a “different & eclectic” collection of wines to add to the wide variety of offerings in Paso Robles by combining their French family heritage with the power of Paso Robles fruit.

“These Benom releases are made by brothers Arnaud and Guillaume Fabre. Guillaume is best known for his work previously at L’Aventure and now at Clos Solene and is unquestionably one of the rising superstars in Paso Robles. These are rich, powerful wines that stay balanced and pure, and they’re well worth seeking out.”
Jeb Dunnuck

“Brothers Guillaume (Clos Solène) and Arnaud Fabre, natives of Narbonne, in France’s Languedoc region, have solidified their small project’s position in the upper level of Paso Robles wine. Those wines are impeccably made (which will come as no surprise to anybody who has sampled Guillaume’s work over the years). A sixth-generation winemaker, his wines here emphasize sharp detail as well as depth and intensity, showing some new oak presence when the wines are young but balanced with deeply flavored though not heavy fruit character.”

2021 CONTRAST

76% Chardonnay & 24% Sauvignon Blanc

$60

This vintage shines in the glass, a very enticing hay color scintillating with streaks of green.

The nose is reminiscent of fresh apples, with a touch of guava. Once the initial aromas settle, the nose is awakened by notes of lemon swirl.

On the palate this delicate yet mineral driven wine is lively with bright acidity and notes of pineapple and fresh exotic fruits. The texture is fresh and lively with a distinct but pleasant touch of chalky mineralogy.

2021 L’ESSOR

78% Grenache, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon

$40

Our 2021 L’Essor is liquid Rose Gold. The nose is awakened by fresh strawberries and Meyer lemons before finishing on a touch of dark spice.

On first sip, fresh fruit gives way to bright acidity and falls into notes of alluring spices. The Paso limestone creates an envelopment of crisp mineralogy lifted by ripe spring berries before a refreshing flow of sea foam salinity washes over the palate.
